DoroBucci is excited to announce our Spring 2023 residency! Join DoroBucci on April 7th and 8th in Richardson Auditorium for a 2-part series to explore, uplift and celebrate black artistry and expression. 

 

On Friday, April 7th at 7pm, DoroBucci is hosting their SPRING SHOWCASE of dance styles from across the African diaspora. The showcase will also feature performances from Black Arts Company, High Steppers, and live African music. Come to get a taste of dancehall, amapiano, afrobeat, hip hop, fusion styles and more. 

 

On Saturday, April 8th at 5pm, DoroBucci's biennial dance competition, SAKATA, returns! Watch African and Caribbean dance teams from UPenn, Harvard, Columbia, SUNY Albany, CCNY, and Northeastern battle it out in a winner-takes-all competition. Teams will be judged by a panel of to-be-announced industry professionals who have shared their dancing talents on screens and stages across the world.
